Hanover Fire Department Receives $3,500 MEMA CCP Grant

The Hanover Fire Department, in conjunction with the Hanover Emergency Management Agency, is pleased to announce that we have been awarded a Citizen Corps Program (CCP) Grant in the amount of $3,500 from the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency (MEMA). These funds will be utilized to purchase portable battery-powered lighting to be used by first responders and our CERT team. This type of lighting will be beneficial at emergency scenes as well as at selected locations during long term power outages. Grants from MEMA are typically lower dollar amounts but they allow the purchase of valuable equipment at no cost to the taxpayers in Hanover.
