Council on Aging


The Mission of the Hanover Council on Aging is to serve as the primary advocate of support services to older adults and disabled members of the communtiy, their care givers and their families. The goal is to help them live independent lives.  The Council on Aging Center provides access to some of the essentials of life including but not limited to support, advocacy, meals, outreach, activities, education, recreation and transportation.  The center also provides provide services, programs and activities that strive to help maintain elders’ independence and enhance the quality of life for seniors. There are approximately 3500 seniors who are 55 years of age or older.


The Council on Aging Center is a primary resource for older adults in the Hanover Community.  The center is a dynamic place where seniors gather and participate in activities that promote healthy aging including socialization, exercise, informational seminars, classes, volunteering, recreation, and wellness programs.
