Senior and Veteran Tax Work-Off Program

Tax credits for eligible participants

The Town of Hanover Senior and Veteran Tax Work-Off Program allows residents aged 60 and over and veterans to work in town departments to help reduce their real estate tax liability.

The town offers 20 positions where participants can work in exchange for a reduction in their tax bill. Each participant may work up to 125 hours at the current minimum wage, with the value of the hours worked applied as a credit toward their real estate tax bill.

Application

For packet information and applications, please contact Tammy Murray at the Hanover Council on Aging at 781-924-1913, ext. 1102.

The year runs from October to September, and taxes are deducted from your following year's tax bill.
