How to Reach Us
Address
Under the guidelines of The Education Reform Act of 1993, public schools must organize a school council to develop annual School Improvement Plans. A school council is a representative, school-building-based committee comprised of an administrator, parent/guardian representatives, teacher representatives, community representatives, and, at the secondary level, students.
At Hanover Public Schools, we believe that students, parent(s)/guardian(s), and our building-based teachers and administration make the best schools by being partners in planning, leadership, and development. With the exception of the community-at-large member who is appointed by the principal, the council members are elected and serve for a two-year term. The public is invited to attend all meetings. This is a great opportunity for parent(s)/guardian(s), teachers, and community members to enhance their involvement in decisions and initiatives.
