Hanover Fire Department Names New Deputy Fire Chief and Fire Captain 6/7/22
The Hanover Fire Department is pleased to announce the promotions of two of its members. Captain Fred Freeman has been promoted to Deputy Fire Chief and Firefighter Dana Allen has been promoted to Fire Captain.
Deputy Freeman started with the Hanover Fire Department in September of 1999. He was promoted to the rank of Fire Captain in 2017 and served as the Department’s Fire Prevention Captain until January of 2022 when he was assigned to the role of acting Deputy Chief. Fred was promoted to the rank of Deputy Chief on July 1st and will assume the “C-2” radio call sign.
Captain Dana Allen started with the Hanover Fire Department in January of 2012. He was appointed to the role of acting Fire Captain in January of 2022 and was assigned to lead Group 4. Acting Captain Allen was promoted to the rank of Fire Captain on July 1st and will assume the “C-7” radio call sign.
