Lainey the Comfort Dog

The Hanover Police Department's Comfort Dog Program aims to help with the mental health crisis we see in today's society. Officer McKeever has volunteered to partner with the adorable 14-week-old yellow lab we named Lainey. The Comfort Dog Program will allow us to better serve the community by offering a coping mechanism for individuals who experience crisis or traumatic events. Additionally, our comfort dog will help us bridge the gap between law enforcement and the community by fostering positive relationships and building trust with those we serve. We have high hopes for the success of this program, and we are fully committed to forming the necessary partnerships within the community to ensure the program’s effectiveness.
