It’s important to be informed and know what to do in an emergency, especially if you lose power or see downed utility lines.

View the Town of Hanover’s Winter Weather Preparedness resources to learn how to prepare and stay safe. You may also explore our Preparing for an Emergency guides and resources.

If anyone needs assistance, has questions, or is concerned about the well-being of a fellow resident, please contact Hanover's Town Manager at 339-214-5303 (call/text) or send a message to joseph.colangelo@hanover-ma.gov. For all emergencies, call 911.

Power Outages and Downed Lines

If you lose electricity, report your power outage to National Grid at 800-465-1212.

If you see downed wires, call 911 to report the location. Stay away from all utility and power lines and assume that they are energized.

Please visit our Power Outages Information page for safety tips, outage resources, a live power status map, and other resources.
