Town of Hanover 2021 Holiday Schedules

Holiday Hours

View the following holiday schedule for offices and departments in the Town of Hanover. If you need assistance during this time, please use our department directory for contact information.

Town Hall Offices and Departments

  • Town Hall will be closed at 4:00 PM on Thursday, December 23rd (no evening meetings) and will remain closed until Monday, December 27th.
  • Normally scheduled hours will resume on Monday, December 27th.
  • Town Hall will also be closed at 4:00 PM on Thursday, December 30th (no evening meetings) and will reopen on Monday, January 3rd.

Community PCR Testing

Transfer Station

  • The Transfer Station will be open on Friday, December 24th, closed on Saturday, December 25th, and will reopen during regular hours on Sunday, December 26th.
  • Transfer Station stickers are available by mail or email only at this time. Residents need to send a copy of their current vehicle registration. If the vehicle is not registered in Hanover, residents must also send proof of residency.

John Curtis Free Library

  • The library will be open until 5:00 PM on Thursday, December 23rd, and will reopen on Monday, December 27th, at 10:00 AM.
  • The library will also be open until 5:00 PM on Thursday, December 30th, and will reopen on Monday, January 3rd.

Council on Aging

  • The Council on Aging will be closed at 4:00 PM on Thursday, December 23rd.
  • Normally scheduled hours will resume on Monday, December 27th.

Public Works Office

  • The Department of Public Works is closed to in-person visits by the public due to high COVID-19 positivity rates in the community. Residents are encouraged to transact business by mail, email, or telephone.

Ames Way Brush Pile

  • The Ames Way Brush Pile will be closed on Saturday, December 25th, and will reopen on Monday, December 27th.
