Hanover Fire Department Awarded State Safety Equipment Grant 4/1/26

The Hanover Fire Department is pleased to announce that we have been awarded $19,000 through the Massachusetts Firefighter Safety Equipment Grant Program, administered by the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services.
These funds will be used to purchase new turnout gear for our newest career firefighters. This grant ensures that our members are equipped with modern protective gear that meets current safety standards, while having zero impact on the department’s operating budget or the taxpayers of Hanover.
We would also like to recognize Firefighter/Paramedic Jonathan Pelletier, who served as the department’s grant writer and manager for this award.
