The "Walter L. Sweeney Square" Dedication Ceremony took place on August 17, 2022.

Home Rule Petition - Amend Town Manager Act  - Name Change from Board of Selectmen to Select Board

The name of the Board of Selectmen has officially been changed to Select Board after the Home Rule Petition was signed by the Governor on July 18, 2023.

Amend General Bylaws - Name Change from Board of Selectmen to Select Board

This Bylaw Amendment is now in effect after receiving the Attorney General's approval on August 29, 2022, and the Home Rule Petition being signed by the Governor on July 18, 2023.

Amend Zoning Bylaws - Name Change from Board of Selectmen to Select Board

This Zoning Bylaw Amendment is now in effect after receiving the Attorney General's approval on  August 29, 2022, and the Home Rule Petition being  signed by the Governor on July 18, 2023.

Appropriate Funds - Police Cruisers ($120,000 Free Cash)

Due to sharp increases in the cost of the vehicles and equipment Two Police Cruisers have been ordered, paid for  and received as opposed to 3 vehicles as originally planned.

Appropriate Funds - Fire Department Ballistic Gear ($60,000 Ambulance Receipts Reserved)

Ballistic Gear items have been ordered,  received, and distributed to the firefighters.

The vehicle is in production, with expected delivery to Hanover in early June of 2024 and a vehicle in service date at that time.

Appropriate Funds - HHS Turf Field and Track ($1,750,000 Debt)

The new turf field surface has been installed, painted, and is currently in use.  New goal posts and end-zone safety netting have been installed.  The track and field jump pits have been reoriented, and the track is prepared to be resurfaced in the Summer of  2024.

Dump Truck has been ordered and delivery is anticipated in the Spring of 2024.

Pickup Truck with Plow has been received and is in service.

The vehicle has been received and is in service.

Appropriate Funds - Transfer Station Capital (Wheel Loader $50,000 Free Cash)

The Wheel Loader has been purchased and is in service.

Appropriate Funds - Transfer Station Capital (Trash Trailer $70,000 Free Cash)

The allotted funding is inadequate for the purchase of a new trash trailer.  The DPW has  proposed a Town Meeting Article to supplement this original request.

Traffic calming bump outs were installed in the spring of 2023.

The Town has submitted an application to have the B. Everett Hall Park Development Study become a Conway School 2023  Spring Semester Case Study.  The application was approved  and the Case Study is anticipated to begin in the Spring of 2023.

41Appropriate Funds - Forge Pond Park Lighting Investigative Study

Developed site plans were approved by ZBA on April 24, 2023, and were stamped with the Town Clerk’s approval on May 4, 2023. Subsequently, a
neighbor filed an appeal of the decision. The funds for lighting for six ball fields, adjacent parking, and walkways were approved at the 2023 Annual Town Meeting; they are on hold pending the appeal.

42Appropriate Funds - Transportation Collection Restoration Project

The project is complete.

Budget effective July 1, 2022.

Project was completed in spring 2023.

The new telephones have been installed. The Middle School master clock project is pending.

47Council on Aging Henry S. Newcomb Hall - Rental Fee Change

As of July 1, 2022 the Hall Rental Fee is $250 for 4 Hours, and $500 for 8 Hours.  Charitable Organizations/ 501C3s will not be charged the rental fee, however must carry insurance. 

Additional fees for Custodial, Police and or Fire Details are invoiced separately.
