Remote Printing

You can upload documents remotely from home, from a mobile device, or from a laptop in the library using our remote upload page. Then you can retrieve and print your documents at the library during normal business hours. Follow the steps below:

1. Go to our mobile printing page

2. Click the “Click here to select and upload a file” button to upload your document (Repeat this step if you have more than on document)

3. Choose whether you want black and white, or color

4. Increase the number of copies if you want more than one

5. Select the gear icon if you would like more settings

6. Check the box to “Accept Terms and Conditions”

7. Click "Continue"

8. Enter your email address

9. Wait for your document(s) to upload and say, “Ready”

How do I pick up my prints?

To pick up prints in-person, come to the print release station on the second floor. When prompted to enter your library card number, enter the email address you provided with your print job. 

How do I pay for my prints?

Printing is CASH ONLY, $0.20/pg for Black and White, $0.30/pg for Color.

Should I send my prints before I get to the library?

Yes. Print jobs can take up to 15 minutes to come through. Please be sure to wait at least 15 minutes before coming to the library.

 

Tech Help

Librarians may be booked for individual technology help, including help with: 

  • Library online resources (eBooks, Streaming, Research Databases)
  • Setting up and using a new device
  • Starting a social media page or email account
  • General technology help (How do I?...)

We are generally not able to:

  • Complete forms, transactions, or tasks for you - our role is to assist you in doing it yourself!
  • Run diagnostics
  • Perform computer maintenance, such as backups and antivirus scans

Borrow a Hotspot

The John Curtis Free Library, in partnership with the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, offers Wireless Hotspots to provide at-home Internet access to patrons. Hotspots may be reserved online or by calling 781-826-2972, ext. 2.

HOTSPOT FAQ's

Who can borrow a hotspot?
  • The minimum age to borrow a hotspot is 18. 
  • Patron must have an OCLN Account in good standing. 
  • One hotspot checkout is allowed per household at a time. 
How long can I borrow a hotspot?
  • Hotspots can be borrowed for 2 weeks. 
  • Hotspots cannot be renewed. 
How do I return a hotspot?
  • Hotspots must be returned to one of the Hanover library's service desks. 
  • Please do not return hotspots in the book drop. 
  • Hotspot devices must be returned with the case, charging cable, and instruction sheet. 
What fees or replacement costs might I face if I damage or fail to return the hotspot?
  • The replacement cost of a lost or damaged hotspot is $100. 
  • The replacement cost of a lost or damaged charger is $5.
