Voter Registration Information for the November 8, 2022, State Election

The last day to register to vote for the Tuesday, November 8, 2022, State Election is Saturday, October 29, 2022. The Hanover Town Clerk’s/Registrar’s Office will be open until 5:00 pm on October 29th, and online registration will be available until 11:59 pm that night. Please visit the Town Clerk’s/Registrar’s side entrance lower level door if you need to register in person.

Any Hanover citizen who will be eighteen on or before November 8, 2022, is encouraged to register to vote. Once registered, individuals will be eligible to vote in all elections after that. Further, residents may pre-register to vote if they are age 16 or 17, but they will not be eligible to vote until they turn 18.

Citizens of Hanover may conveniently register to vote or change their party status online, by mail, or in person. Register online. Residents who choose to register by mail should download the Massachusetts Mail-In Voter Registration Form and mail the completed form to the Hanover Town Clerk’s Office. If voters wish to register to vote in person, they may do so at two convenient locations: Hanover Town Hall or the Registry of Motor Vehicles.

New residents and high school students are strongly encouraged to register to vote.
