Parks, Recreation, and Athletic Facilities Closed Until Further Notice 4/9/10

Starting today at 12:00 PM (noon), ALL public fields, courts, playgrounds, parks, including all high school athletic facilities and the fields at Forge Pond Park will be closed until further notice.  The reason for doing this now is that it has become too burdensome and difficult for our health department personnel and police officers to make case-by-case determinations as to activities that are OK and those that violated the governor’s order(s). 

All walking paths and trails, including the paved walkway at Forge Pond Park will remain open and accessible. 

We would very much appreciate cooperation by the public with this so our attention can be kept focused on keeping everyone in town safe and healthy.
