Nomination Papers Now Available for the Hanover 2024 Annual Town Election 1/26/24

Nomination papers for the Annual Town Election on May 18, 2024, are now available. The deadline for submitting signed nomination papers is March 29, 2024.

Positions open for the upcoming spring election include two members of the Select Board for a three-year term, two members of the School Committee for a three-year term, one member of the Board of Assessors for a three-year term, one member of the Planning Board for a five-year term, one Board of Health member for a three-year term, one Trustee of the Public Library for a three-year term and one Moderator for a one year term.

Residents with an interest in candidacy are encouraged to reach out to the Town Clerk’s Office, relevant departments, or current board/committee members for more information about available positions.

To run for office, candidates need to obtain 50 signatures of registered Hanover voters to be placed on the ballot. Candidates for office have until Friday, March 29, 2024, to submit the signed nomination papers to the Registrar’s Office (550 Hanover Street) for signature certification.
