Memorial Day Parade

Please join us at the annual Town of Hanover Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 27, 2019, starting at 10:00 AM.

This event will begin at the Saint Mary's rectory and end at the Veterans Memorial.

Once at the cemetery, we will honor and memorialize various Veteran plots including the Josselyn and Cummings World War I soldiers, the tomb of the unknown soldier, the police and fire deceased, the American Legion, and Veterans of Foreign Wars memorials.

Following, the parade will march toward the Civil War Memorial (by the cannons across from town hall). There, we will memorialize the Civil War as well as the Korean, Vietnam, and World War II veterans.

The parade will then march to the Sylvester School building to memorialize World War I soldiers, and then end at the Hanover Veterans Memorial.

Students from the Hanover High School Marching Band will play patriotic music and the Hanover High School VOX will sing the National Anthem. Following events include an opening prayer, speeches by the Chairman of the Board of Selectmen, and a roll call, by the Veterans Service Agent, during the laying of the wreath.

Please note that aspects of this parade are subject to change at a moments notice, weather dependent.

See you there and have a great Memorial Day!
