Marshfield COVID-19 Vaccination Site Opens Monday, February 8, 2021

Marshfield, MA Vaccination Update

A new drive-thru vaccination clinic, located at the fairgrounds, 140 Main Street, Marshfield, Massachusetts, will open on Monday, February 8, 2021, to all Plymouth County residents who fall into one of the priority groups in Phase 1 or Phase 2. Individuals eligible for the vaccine may start signing up through the Massachusetts Immunizations website.

Important Information

  • The vaccine is free. You will never be asked for a credit card number to make an appointment.
  • You must make an appointment to get a vaccine.
  • The vaccine requires two doses. You should make sure you have a second appointment scheduled from the same site, or know how to schedule it, before leaving your first appointment.
  • You must confirm you are eligible for your phase. See below for more information.
  • You can get a vaccine even if you do not have insurance, a driver’s license, or a Social Security number.

What You Need for Your Appointment

Confirm Your Eligibility

To get vaccinated in Phase 1 or 2, you will need to confirm that you are part of a currently eligible group within those phases. This is called “attesting.”

Depending on where you book your appointment, you may attest differently.

  • You may be asked to attest online or over the phone when booking.
  • If you are not asked when booking, you will be asked to attest when you arrive at your appointment. Vaccination locations will likely have an attestation form available, however, you can fill out the COVID-19 Massachusetts Vaccination Attestation Form and bring it with you to your appointment to be prepared.

Additional Documents

Your vaccination location may list the below items as necessary, however, that only applies to people who have them. You can still receive the COVID-19 vaccine without insurance or an ID.

  • Bring an ID with your name, if you have one, to verify your name in the vaccination system.
  • Bring your health insurance card, if you have one. Your insurance will be billed at no cost to you. You do not need to be insured to receive the vaccine.

Sites labeled “Local vaccination locations” on the map (yellow stars) may require additional documents since they are only open to those who live in that city or town. This will be listed when making your appointment under "special instructions."

Your First Dose

  • Wear a mask that covers your nose and mouth.
  • You will get a vaccination card that tells you which COVID-19 vaccine you received, and when and where you received it. The card will remind you to return for a second dose.
  • The vaccination site will tell you when to come back for your second appointment.

Second Dose

Make Sure you Get Both Doses

You need two doses of the same vaccine to be fully protected.

  • It's important that you get the same type of vaccine both times.
  • Go back to the same vaccination site to get the second dose.

Keep Others Safe

The COVID-19 vaccine — while showing extremely positive results — is like every other vaccine in that none is ever 100% effective. To keep people safe you must continue wearing a mask, washing your hands, keeping your distance, and avoiding groups.

It will take time to get the COVID-19 vaccine rolled out and get everyone vaccinated.
