Historic Sylvester Field: A Great Place to Explore and Start an Adventure 11/13/22

Sylvester Field
Hanover has many trails, paths, and fields to walk, wonder, and explore. Make Hanover's history and parks part of your family's story. One place to start your adventure is the Historic Sylvester Field, located off Washington Street, near the Hanover Four Corners neighborhood.

In July 2021, in collaboration with the Town of Hanover, Wildlands Trust completed the purchase and permanent protection of one of the region’s most beloved and iconic properties: Sylvester Field (formerly known to locals as Robinson Field). The preservation of Sylvester Field was successful from the generosity of hundreds of individual donors who made this possible, collectively raising half of the $700,000 cost of the land, and the Town of Hanover's $250,000 contribution from Community Preservation Committee funds as passed in Article 22 at the Town of Hanover May 2021 Annual Town Meeting.
