Hanover Community Emergency Response Team members, in collaboration with the Hanover Fire Department, worked with associates from ZOLL Medical to become familiar with the Town's new ZOLL Mobilize Comprehensive Rescue System on Tuesday, March 28, 2023, at the Hanover Council on Aging building.

The interactive device is used to assess, manage, and monitor a spectrum of medical and trauma situations when the Hanover Emergency Shelter is activated. The system has an integrated touch screen that instructs the user step-by-step through the treatment process. The included supplies in the rescue kit are clearly labeled and color-coded to match the instructions given by the built-in tablet and Mobilize Rescue app. The portable case includes more than 35 different types of medical supplies to treat a multitude of traumatic injuries and medical issues. The system also provides an automatic time-stamped actions summary for EMS to review.

Funding for this equipment was obtained from the FY21 MEMA Citizen Corps Program Grant, managed by Hanover Firefighter Jonathan Pelletier, on behalf of Hanover Emergency Management. The Hanover Emergency Management Agency is fortunate to have such a dedicated group of volunteers at the ready for emergency situations as they arise.
