4/12/2016 UPDATE- Water Main Flushing

The Water Division of the DPW will be performing water main flushing in on April 12, 2016 from 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM.  The streets affected include:

Birchwood Drive

Brookbend Road

Cobblestone Lane

Crickets Run

Deborah Road

Donna Drive

East Street

Field Stone Lane

Hearthstone Way

James Road

Jay’s Lane

Lantern Lane

Larchmont Lane

Maplewood Drive

Old Washington Street

Pine Street

Pond Street

Rawson Road

Silver Street

Tower Hill Drive

Union Street

Washington Street from Old Washington Street to East Street)

While the hydrants are open in your neighborhood, you may experience discolored water or a small drop in water pressure. In the unlikely event your water service is interrupted or you are experiencing no water pressure please notify the DPW as soon as possible at 781-826-3189.  Should your water appear reddish, yellow or brown, do not be alarmed. It is recommended you do not use the water or do laundry for two hours after noticing this discoloration.  After you have waited, run your cold water tap (without the aerator screen) for five to ten minutes.  This should remove any sediment from inside your service.  If the water does not clear after two hours, please notify the DPW at 781-826-3189.
