Veterans' Services

The Veteran Service Officer (VSO) actively advocates for veterans and their dependents on the Town/State level. The VSO assists in applying for federal claims for Service-connected and non-service-connected compensation, Health benefits and Prescription drugs, Business, education, and burial benefits, and benefits to qualifying Veterans and their families under Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 115.

Veterans Coffee Hour

Join Hanover Veterans every Wednesday at 9:11 am for the weekly Veterans Coffee Hour, held at the Hanover Council on Aging, 665 Center Street, Hanover, MA 02339. All are welcome!

Services

• Assists in applying for federal claims, including service-connected and non-service-connected compensation, as well as non-service-connected pension for individuals with a disability rating of 70% or more.
• Health benefits and Prescription drugs.
• Business, education, and burial benefits.
• Headstones and markers may be obtained through this office.
• Provide benefits to needy Veterans and families under Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 115.
• Advise National Guard and Reserves on civil rights.
