Town of Hanover Water Restriction Update 6/30/26

Water Restriction Update

As we head into a stretch of extreme heat, we are asking everyone to continue doing their part to help protect Hanover's water supply.

Our water storage tanks are currently at 108 feet and are edging back into critical territory. While we've made meaningful progress over the past several weeks, the hot weather and increased water demand mean that continued conservation is essential.

The Town continues to identify water-use violations each day. Our goal is to ensure that everyone follows the current restrictions so we can preserve our water supply for essential household needs, public health, and fire protection.

Reminders

  • Water-use restrictions remain in effect.
  • Irrigation and other prohibited outdoor water use are not permitted.
  • If you use a private well for irrigation, please display a visible "Private Well" or "Well Water in Use" sign to help avoid confusion during enforcement efforts.

The progress we've made is a direct result of the extraordinary efforts of our residents, businesses, and community partners. Thank you for your continued cooperation and commitment to conserving water.

Stay safe, stay cool, and thank you for doing your part.
