The last day to register to vote or change your party preference in the Presidential Primary on March 5, 2024, is Saturday, February 24, 2024. The Hanover Town Hall will be open until 5:00 pm on February 24th, and online registration will be available until 11:59 pm. If you need to register in person, please come to Town Hall. Staff will either be in the large hearing room on the first floor or in the Registrar’s Office on the lower level.
Any Hanover citizen who will be eighteen on or before the March 5, 2024, election is encouraged to register to vote. Once registered, individuals will be eligible to vote in all elections thereafter. Residents may pre-register to vote if they are aged 16 or 17 but will not be eligible to vote until they turn 18.
Citizens of Hanover may conveniently register to vote or change their party status online, by mail, or in person. Residents who choose to register by mail should download the Massachusetts Mail-In Voter Registration Form and mail the completed form to the Hanover Town Clerk’s Office.
If voters wish to register to vote in person, they may do so at two convenient locations: Hanover Town Hall or the Registry of Motor Vehicles. Residents who may have recently moved and have not updated their driver's license will also need to update their voter registration status.
