Daily Community COVID-19 Testing Now Available to Hanover Residents

The Town of Hanover is pleased to announce that community Drive-Thru COVID-19 PCR Testing is now offered seven days a week for Hanover residents only.  This expanded testing availability will further provide residents with easy, convenient, and on-demand PCR testing, free of charge, whenever it is necessary.

Residents who meet the Hanover Public Schools Testing Criteria should contact their respective school nurse for scheduling and registration.

Testing Location

COVID-19 PCR testing will take place every day between the hours of 10:00 am and 11:30 am at the Hanover Council on Aging, located at 665 Center Street.

Scheduling

When scheduling a COVID-19 PCR test, please keep in mind that testing too soon after known exposure or contact may provide a negative result because the viral load is not sufficient enough to be detected.  It is recommended that you wait a period of five days after exposure or contact before scheduling a test.

Test Results

Hanover Mobile Integrated Health (MIH) utilizes RT-PCR testing.  Typically, results are made available within 12-24 hours. Results are provided by Care Evolve via the email address you provide or by phone by a member of the MIH Team. Do not call the Hanover Fire Department, Emergency Communications Center, or Broad Institute for test results.

Important

  • Proof of residency will be required at the time of testing.
  • Limited time slots will be available on testing days.  Please arrive at your scheduled time as this will ensure manageable traffic flow.
  • Testing will be done by drive-up; you will remain in your vehicle for the entire process unless otherwise directed by a staff member.  Please follow the designated traffic pattern.
  • After you've been tested, you should self-quarantine/isolate at home while you wait for your test results and follow the advice of your health care provider or a public health professional.
  • Please ensure that all demographic information entered is accurate when scheduling a test.
  • You may schedule and register for same day testing up to 9:00 am, on that day.
