Safety Information

The members of the Hanover Police Department look forward to the annual Hanover Day celebration. In an effort to ensure the safety of all in attendance, we will be setting strict parking restrictions and assisting pedestrians at all crosswalks along Hanover Street. Please utilize these crosswalks and be mindful of the heavy pedestrian presence in the area. Please drive slowly.

Additionally, there will be a heavy police presence at the carnival, and we urge everyone to do their part to ensure a fun time. As a reminder, alcohol is not to be consumed at this event.

We’re also asking parents to remind their young children to seek out a uniformed officer if they become separated. This tends to happen every year, and our officers will make sure lost children are reunited with their parents expeditiously.

Finally, the weather calls for heat and humidity, so be sure to stay hydrated and seek shade if needed.
