Water Main Flushing 5/8

The Water Division of the DPW will be performing water main flushing on May 8, 2017 from 8:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m.  The streets affected include:

Broadway (Water Street to Center Street)

Trailside Lane

Meadow Drive

Sunset Point

Tiffany Mill Lane

Waterford Drive

Winter Street

Center Street

While the hydrants are open in your neighborhood, you may experience discolored water or a small drop in water pressure. In the unlikely event your water service is interrupted or you are experiencing no water pressure please notify the DPW as soon as possible at 781-826-3189.  Should your water appear reddish, yellow or brown, do not be alarmed. It is recommended you do not use the water or do laundry for two hours after noticing this discoloration.  After you have waited, run your cold water tap (without the aerator screen) for five to ten minutes.  This should remove any sediment from inside your service.  If the water does not clear after two hours, please notify the DPW at 781-826-3189.
