Introducing the Hanover Hawk!

Hanover Hawk

The time has arrived to introduce the new Hawk mascot to Hanover!  The community has helped select the nickname for the Hawk, and the logos are ready for release.  Please watch this brief video for the big reveal!

We understand that this has been an emotional change for many people, and we appreciate the patience, participation, and support of everyone who has shared in this process.  We are very excited to introduce our mascot and the logos that will be part of our school image, culture, and pride for years to come.

Thank you to the Hanover PTA for their generous donation of the mascot costumes and to our logo designer, Jamie Norton.  Thank you to the Mascot Selection Committee, and to all of our staff and students who have worked hard to support this process.  We hope you enjoy the video, and please welcome our new mascot!  Watch the video to learn its name!

Sincerely,

Matt Ferron
Superintendent of Schools

About the Artist

Jamie Norton, Artist and Graphic DesignerJamie Norton is a 1993 graduate, and former class president, of Hanover High School.  Jamie is a professional graphic designer and owner of Single Chair Studios in Corralitos, California.  Jamie donated his time and talent to create a contemporary logo series that represents the power, agility, and grace of the Hanover Hawk.  His original submission to the Mascot Selection Committee earlier this year was the consensus favorite, and the design has been refined over the past several months with great care and pride for Hanover High School and our community.  We are very grateful to Jamie for his generosity of time, patience with the process, and the pride he takes in his hometown of Hanover.
