Fire Flow Test 7/29 9-11pm

The Water Department will be performing a fire flow test in the vicinity of the Hanover Mall on Wednesday night between 9:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. Fire flow tests are used to determine water pressure and flow capabilities for fire fighting purposes. Residents may experience discolored water as a result of this test. Should a reddish, yellow or brown tint to the water appear, do not be alarmed. It is recommended you do not use the water or do laundry for about two hours. After you have waited, run your faucets for a few minutes to make sure the water is clear at which time you may resume normal water use. If the water does not clear within a few hours, please notify the Hanover Water Department at 781-826-3189.
