2020 Roadway Reconstruction/Paving Schedule

The Town of Hanover, through its contractor T.L. Edwards, will begin our 2020 Road Rehabilitation/Paving Projects the week of June 1st.  Work is proposed to take place on the following streets:

• Broadway (~250’ West of Cross Street to ~250’ East of Cross Street)
• Cross Street
• Elm Street
• Main Street (Grove Street to Plain Street)
• Myrtle Street (Cross Street to Center Street)
• Riverside Drive
• Webster Street (#96 Webster Street to Assinippi Ave)

In general, work will include cold planning/milling the existing roadway surface, placing a leveling course of asphalt, adjusting utility structures, placing a top course of asphalt, installing pavement markings, and addressing roadway shoulders as needed.

During construction activities, access to driveways, certain portions of roadways, and road shoulders may be temporarily closed to allow for work to safely proceed.  Motorists, pedestrians, and residents are asked to follow posted detours and adhere to any closures that may be in place.  The Hanover Police Department will be onsite to assist with traffic management, increase work zone safety, and enforce these potential restrictions.
