Flexible Spending Accounts

Flexible Spending

A Flexible Spending Account (FSA) is offered to all benefit-eligible employees. Flexible Spending Accounts let you set aside a portion of your paycheck tax free to pay for certain health and dependent care expenses. Contributions are deducted from your paycheck prior to federal, state, and social security taxes.  No tax on your contribution saves you money.

A Dependent Care Flexible Spending Account will let you set aside a portion of your paycheck tax free to pay for dependent care expenses (IRS regulations allow up to $5,000.00 per calendar year per family). Contributions are deducted from your paycheck prior to federal, state and social security tax.  No tax on your contribution saves you money.

Expenses must be incurred during the plan year or before the termination date of employment to be reimbursed. Claims for both health care and dependent care reimbursement must be received within 90 days after the plan year ends or termination date.
