It's been two centuries since Washington Irving dreamed up the "Headless Horseman of Sleepy Hollow,' the most iconic ghost in American folklore - but is the famous specter truly just a figment of the writer's imagination?
New research by author and folklorist Christopher Rondina suggests the story may be more history than tall-tale.
