2019 Roadway Resurfacing & Paving Work

The Town of Hanover DPW, through its contractor T.L. Edwards, is scheduled to begin this year's Roadway Resurfacing & Paving work on Monday, August 5th.  This year's work includes improvements to North Street, Main Street (Plain Street to Grove Street), Tucker Road, Aspen Drive, Bailey Road, and Russell Place.  It is anticipated that these paving projects and all associated work will be completed by Early September.

On Monday, August 5th, scheduled work includes grinding the existing roadway surface on North Street and Main Street (Plain Street to Grove Street). 

What to expect

During construction activities, residents and can expect a heavy presence of construction vehicles and equipment during work hours and an uneven roadway surface at times.  It is likely that during the course of this work temporary detours and limited road closures will be necessary to allow crews to complete the work.

The DPW will make every effort to keep inconveniences to a minimum and the Police Department will provide Traffic Safety Detail Officers to assist with vehicular and pedestrian traffic management, increase work zone safety, and enforce necessary parking restrictions. Residents, drivers, and pedestrians are asked to follow posted instructions, including temporary detours, as applicable.
