Winter Storm Advisory 1/23/23

Snow

The Town of Hanover and the Hanover Police Department would like to remind motorists to be cautious during the current winter storm. Please consider limiting travel, if possible, as our DPW crews work to treat and maintain our roadways. Snowfall is forecasted until about 10:00 pm this evening.

Although only an inch or two is expected, Hanover is always susceptible to power outages from winds and heavy snow. Visit our Winter Weather Preparedness resources to learn how to prepare and stay safe.

If anyone needs assistance, has questions, or is concerned about the well-being of a fellow resident, please contact Hanover's Town Manager at 339-214-5303 (call/text) or send a message to joseph.colangelo@hanover-ma.govFor all emergencies, call 911.

Power Outages and Concerns

If you lose power, please notify National Grid to ensure that your outage is reported or call 800-465-1212. To report a downed power line, stay away and call 911. Be prepared by having your flashlights, candles, generators, and backup power devices ready and fully charging your electronics. Prepare alternate plans for refrigerating medicines or power-dependent medical devices.
