Updated Guidance on Mask Wearing 3/1/22

On February 15, 2022, and March 1, 2022, the CDC and Massachusetts Department of Public announced updated guidance regarding mask-wearing. Read the following two updates to learn more.

Effective March 1, 2022, the CDC announced new guidance that it is no longer requiring that masks be worn on school buses and vans for kindergarten through grade 12 students as well as child care programs and outdoor public transportation areas. Read the Updated Advisory Regarding Face Coverings.

Effective February 15, 2022, fully vaccinated individuals should wear a mask indoors if they have a weakened immune system, or if they are at increased risk for severe disease because of age or an underlying medical condition. If someone in your household has a weakened immune system, is at increased risk for severe disease, or is unvaccinated, individuals should continue to wear a mask indoors.
