Town of Hanover 2020 Town Meeting Information

Schedule

Special Town Meeting will begin at 7:00 PM followed by the Annual Town Meeting at 7:30 PM.  Be sure to arrive early to avoid long lines.  Check-in begins at 6:15 PM.

Entering the Building

You may enter the facility through the south entrance which is located on the far right side as you face the building (near the mini golf).  You will be required to be wearing a mask to enter the facility.  Prior to entering the building, a social distancing queue will be formed.  Please remember that you must follow social distancing guidelines.  As you enter the building, you will be directed to a table to check-in. If you are an out-of-town, non-voting visitor, you will be directed to another check-in area.  Once you have checked-in, you will be directed to your seat.

Seating

Chairs will be arranged according to social distancing guidelines.  You will be directed to the next sequential seat as you enter.  There will be no close seating.  Please do not move chairs from their placed location.

Face Coverings

Please remember that you are required to wear a face mask or covering when attending Town Meeting.  It is important to maintain a social distance of 6 feet both indoors and outdoors. Ways to Watch the Meeting

You are encouraged to attend Town Meeting in person, especially if you would like to participate in the meeting or vote on Town issues.  If you are unable to attend, the meeting will be broadcast on Hanover Community Television (Comcast Channel 8 / Verizon Channel 36).  It will also be streamed on Hanover, Massachusetts Facebook Live.
