OpenGov ViewPoint Online Permitting System Now Online

OpenGov

The Town of Hanover is pleased to announce that OpenGov PLC, a permitting, licensing, and code enforcement platform, is now available to Hanover residents, contractors, and business owners to access online permitting, licensing, and other resources from multiple departments including the Building Office, Health Office, Community Development, and the Fire Department. Beginning on Tuesday, February 16, 2021, applicants will be able to log in to the platform by going to hanover-ma.gov/opengov. This system replaces our previous ViewPermit platform.

The OpenGov platform allows users to pay by credit card or e-check and permits will be issued digitally. An email address must be provided with all permit applications. Applicants may schedule an in-person or phone appointment by contacting the appropriate department. Applications will be reviewed and approved by the Town before a permit is issued.

The OpenGov PLC platform is cloud-based, which means the service is accessible from any Internet browser. This also allows permitting data to be linked with State and assessing data. Data from Hanover's previous software, ViewPermit, has been migrated to our new OpenGov system so applicants may access past records. Permit-tracking data, including the status of active permits, may be accessed using this platform.
