Town of Hanover Completes First COVID-19 Vaccine Clinic
Posted on: January 13, 2021 - 7:29pm
In an effort to deter the spread of COVID-19 in our community, the Hanover Board of Health held a COVID-19 vaccination clinic for Hanover's first responders at the Hanover Council on Aging building on January 13, 2021. This documents a significant step forward in the largest inoculation campaign in the history of our country.
Hanover's dedicated and professional health team administered 60 doses of the Moderna COVID-19 Vaccine (mRNA-1273) to Hanover's first responders and frontline clinic staff. Our frontline workers have heightened exposure on a daily basis to the general public, which places them at a higher risk of contracting the virus.
The clinic was a collaborative effort between the Board of Health, Public Health Nurse, Public Schools Health Services, Fire Department, CERT members, Department of Public Works, Information Technology, and Communications.
