Checklist
- Complete an online application and schedule an appointment to have your smoke and/or carbon monoxide detectors inspected.
- Schedule an appointment to have your home water meter read.
Fire Department
The smoke and carbon monoxide detector (26F Inspection) inspection is required for the sale of your home. It is the responsibility of the seller to acquire a certificate of completion from the Hanover Fire Department. Appointments are scheduled on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. All appoints have a 90-minute window between 9:30 am and 11:00 am. Complete the online Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector Inspection Form. Once you have applied, your appointment will be confirmed. You will receive an online confirmation through email.
Water Department
When selling your home, you will need to have your water meter read by the Town of Hanover Water Department.
