Programs and Funds for Military and Veterans

Military Heroes Fund COVID-19 Emergency Financial Relief Program

The COVID-19 Emergency Financial Relief Program was created to provide financial assistance to all Veterans, Active Duty, Reserves and National Guard who are experiencing a financial setback due to the negative economic effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. The Foundation is prioritizing assistance to those who have lost their primary/only income or have an increased financial burden as a direct result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The grant amount will support 1 month of payment up to $1500 in the following areas:

  • Rent
  • Mortgage
  • Auto Loan/Lease
  • Utilities (Electric, Water, Heat)

All checks will be sent directly to the creditor or landlord after the grant is approved. The Foundation can only support one emergency financial request per household.

What You’ll Need

  • DD214 or LES
  • A bill or statement for the requested expense
  • An explanation of how the financial setback is related to the COVID-19 pandemic (for example, loss of job due to quarantine and/or public health policies)

Eligability

To be eligible for this program you must be in one of the following categories:

  • A Veteran that has been honorably discharged
  • A current active-duty service member
  • Currently active in the Reserves
  • Currently active in the National Guard

COVID-19 Massachusetts Military Family Relief Fund

Will give immediate financial relief to Massachusetts military families and Families of Fallen Service Members to purchase groceries, health supplies and other necessities. The Fund will be open to active military, National Guard, Reserves and Families of Fallen Service Members who reside in Massachusetts.

Gillette Stadium “Food4Vets” Pick-Up

Veterans, we welcome you to Gillette Stadium to receive two weeks worth of meals. Volunteers will staff two tractor trailers weekdays beginning Tuesday, March 31, 2020-Friday, April 10, 2020, from 10am-2pm. Please follow signage around the stadium and come to Lot 5 (see map) where food will be delivered directly to your car. Clear Path for Veterans New England Pop-Up Empowerment Centers

We are currently providing Service Members, Veterans, and their families with boxes of non-perishable food supplies to cover meals for 10-14 days (2 adults). Our staff are setting up and monitoring these empowerment centers on days of operation and are following strict procedures to ensure the health and wellness of all involved.
