Change to abutter notification process

5-20-15

As per the May 20, 2015 meeting, regarding Abutter notification, the Conservation Commission no longer requires Applicant's to use the Commission's public hearing notice for abutter notification.

In lieu of the Commission's form, you will use the standard DEP forms- Notification to Abutters Under the Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act   and the  Affidavit of Service.  NOTE:  This was changed 9/1/15 to allow use of new user-friendly versions available now in the forms section of the Conservation Website, due to applicant and abutter concerns for the wording of the DEP forms.

The US Postal Service Form 3817 Certificate of Mailing continues to be a requirement for mailing each notice.  Prior to the meeting, the posted and stamped Certificate of Mailing or copies thereof, should be submitted to the Conservation Office.  Postmarks must be dated at least 1 week prior to the public hearing date.

Please call the Conservation Commission Office at 781-826-6505 if you have any questions.
