Motor Vehicle Abatement Options

The Town of Hanover Assessing Office is available to the public during normal business hours via phone, email, and fax. Written correspondence may be mailed or delivered by hand, using the mail slot located at the front door of Town Hall.
Motor Vehicle Abatements may be submitted by:
- U.S. Mail to 550 Hanover Street, Hanover, MA 02339
- Email: assessing@hanover-ma.gov
- Fax: 781-826-5239
An abatement certificate will be mailed when your abatement is processed. Please be aware that you may owe a portion of the bill. The adjusted excise will be the new amount due to the Town.
