1997 Master Plan

 

The Hanover Master Plan is currently undergoing a ten-year update by the Hanover Planning Board.  For the convenience of the public we have posted most of the prior 1997 Master Plan in electronic format below.  (For information on the ongoing Master Plan update, click here.)

 

Hanover Master Plan (1997)

While the documents above are compiled from the original electronic versions of the plan, the definitive version of this plan shall remain in its printed form on file with the Town of Hanover.  Please note that the files below contain the majority of information (text) contained in the 1997 plan, but do not provide all maps, tables, figures and appendices found in the printed versions of these plans.  Copies of the previous (1997) Master Plan are available for viewing in their entirety at the John Curtis Library and in the Planning Board office.  Please see Town Maps and GIS for additional maps available on this website.  If you have any questions regarding these documents please contact the Hanover Town Planner.

 

 

Open Space & Recreation Plan

 

The Open Space Committee is developing a new Open Space & Recreation Plan (OSRP) in 2007 with funding provided by the Community Preservation Committee and Town Meeting.  For more information, click here.

 

For the convenience of the public we have attempted to compile the 1997 Open Space & Recreation Plan in electronic format.  While the documents below are compiled from the original electronic versions of the plan, the definitive version of this plan shall remain in its printed form on file with the Town of Hanover.  Please note that the files below contain the majority of information (text) contained in the 1997 plan, but do not provide all maps, tables, figures and appendices found in the printed versions of these plans.  Copies of the previous (1997) Open Space & Recreation Plan are available for viewing in their entirety at the John Curtis Library and in the Planning Board office. Open Space & Recreation Plan (1997)

2007 Fireworks Area Study

 

This plan was completed in 2007 by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection (DEP).  The plan discusses pollution in the so-called "Fireworks" area of Hanover and planned remedial actions necessary to mitigate historical pollution of this area as a result of ammunitions testing decades ago.
