Water Main Break 353 Hanover Street 5/5

The gas company has struck a 10" main in the vicinity of 353 Hanover Street. Water will be off on Hanover Street from Tindale to Bittersweet. Residents may experience dirty water and/or loss of pressure in this area as we make repairs. Details to follow.

353 Hanover Street Water Main Repair Update- Water service should be restored to the affected area by 2:00pm.  Upon completion of repairs, you may experience dirty water from dislodged sediments in the pipes. Should you experience this, we ask that you simply run cold water from your faucet for several minutes until it runs clear. If you continue to see discolored water, we ask that you call the Water Department at 781-826-3189, and we will send someone out to inspect the issue and do any additional flushing of the system that may be required.
