Summer Park & Rec 

at B. Everett Hall Field

A memorable camp experience that has made a significant impact in the lives of countless Hanover residents over the past 50+ years.

OUR PURPOSE  To provide an affordable, age-appropriate opportunity for all participants to experience outdoor recreation, both passive and active with their peers, all while creating great memories and new friends!

OUR PROGRAM  Consists of eight sessions.  Each grade travels together to different stations every 55 minutes, these stations range from arts & crafts, legos, sports to free play.

OUR PROMISE  To do everything possible to  allow all children to have the best imaginable summer by creating many opportunities for children to have fun all summer long!

Summer Little Rec

at B. Everett Hall Field (Monday & Wednesday) and the Center School Gymnasium (Tuesday, Thursday & Friday)

An introductory program to get young children and families interested in Park and Rec summer activities and place where first friends are made!

OUR PURPOSE To provide an affordable, age-appropriate opportunity for participants to socialize and have fun with other children their age. Little Rec (previously called Kids Klub) will serve as a first Park & Rec experience for future participants creating lifelong fans of our summer programs! 

OUR PROGRAM  Is an unique and fun program that runs over the course of eight weeks.  The children are divided into counselor groups to travel with their groups to different assigned stations throughout their day.   

OUR PROMISE  We understand that for many children this may be the first time that they have been away from their parents/guardians for an extended period of time. We promise that your children will enjoy themselves while creating new friends in a fun and safe environment!

Summer Teen Extreme

at the Center School Gymnasium (and field trips all over New England)

5th-8th Grade *as of June 2016

Monday-Thursday

9:00am-2:00pm *hours may vary with some field trips

$165/session

On Site Day: Monday

Field Trip Days: Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday

An exciting and unique experience for middle schoolers bridging the gap between organized summer activities and field trips.

OUR PURPOSE  To provide an affordable, age-appropriate opportunity for middle schoolers to socialize and stay active during the summer with friends!

OUR PROGRAM  Is a field trip based program with one on site day that consists of eight sessions.  Each week, children travel to new and exciting places across New England. 

OUR PROMISE  To create a fun and engaging summer for our middle schoolers to enjoy and experience each week of the summer!

Counselor In Training Program (CIT)

The Counselor in Training program is offered as part of our summer program. This CIT program is suited for youth ages 13-15. The CIT program is designed for those individuals who are interested in learning about leadership and working with children. CIT’s assist in the administration of the program and in the execution of summer program logistics such as, drop-off, pick-up and equipment set up and take down. It will offer participants the opportunity to learn the core fundamentals of recreation and to gain experience with these skills assisting staff throughout the summer. The CIT works with the Recreation Administrator, Program Directors and the Playground Assistants.

Summer Partnership with the Office of Family and Community Engagement

New this year we will be partnering with the Office of Family and Community Engagement to offer an amazing opportunity for our program participants!

This half day option of Park & Rec is only for children participating in this partnership.  To register for the Park & Rec portion please email lauren.rodday@hanover-ma.gov, to register for the FACE portion visit http://hanoverschools.org/esp/enrichment/index.htm

Option 1:  Participants attend a FACE enrichment class, then attend Park & Rec 12:30pm-2:30pm for $50

*If extended hours are needed please register for ACE (After Camp Extension)

Option 2:  Participants attend Park & Rec 8:30am-11:30am for $75, then attend a FACE enrichment class
