Crack Sealing Town Roads

The DPW is currently crack sealing various town roads. This work is being performed by our business partner, Sealcoating Inc. Similar to the way paint extends the life of a house by keeping water from penetrating the wood, crack sealing extends the life of a road by preventing water from infiltrating and compromising the base material on the road. Most of this work will take place on main roads. If the budget allows, work will extend into subdivision roads that have been recently paved or where DPW staff feels crack sealing may delay the formation of potholes and delay the need for an overlay. The link below contains the list of streets to be sealed. Motorists are advised to use caution when travelling near the crack sealing crew.
