At 7:30 PM on September 8, 2008 the Town of Hanover will hold a Special Town Meeting at the Hanover High School.  The purpose of this Special Town Meeting is to address several articles which require a Town Meeting vote, including a vote relative to the construction of a new High School.

Arrival & Registration

Due to a large expected turnout for the September 8, 2008 Special Town Meeting, town officials have arranged for the orderly arrival and registration of residents attending the meeting.  It is our hope that distribution of the information below will assist on the night of the meeting and prevent confusion for those unfamiliar with the registration process.

The Special Town Meeting will be held (as usual) at the Hanover High School as shown on the following maps.  Upon arrival at the High School, residents will register at tables alphabetically by last name.  However, as a backup, it may be necessary to register by Precinct number (as identified on the map below).  If you are attending Town Meeting please note your Precinct number to expedite registration.

Parking will be available at the High School, Middle School, and Cedar School.  There will be busing (shuttle) service between the Middle School Parking Lot and the High School, as well as between the Cedar School Parking Lot and the High School for the convenience of all those attending Town Meeting.  Parking will be available at the High School Parking Lots, but we ask all those attending to consider carpooling and parking at one of the other sites shown as parking will be limited at any one site.  No parking will be available along Cedar Street.

 Child Care assistance will be available on a limited basis at the High School, adjacent to the Gymnasium.  Please prepare for weekday childcare accordingly.

Town staff and volunteers will assist with the registration process.  Seating for the Special Town Meeting will be available in the High School Gymnasium, Auditorium, and Cafeteria.  A sound system will ensure that the proceedings are accessible in all rooms.
